Next up is a look at the performance-per-dollar based upon pricing. The GeForce GTX 1060 from AIB partners will retail starting at $299 while the Founder's Edition card will retail for $299 USD. Thus for this comparison I setup the Phoronix Test Suite to do price calculations at both $249 and $299.
Even at $299 USD, the GeForce GTX 1060 still delivers excellent value.
Only with Unigine Valley where the AMD Linux stack is quite competitive did the Radeon RX 480 beat out the GTX 1060 for performance-per-dollar.
At less than $300, the GeForce GTX 1060 is able to deliver a mighty bang for the buck.
