For OpenCL benchmarks like SHOC the RTX 4080 to RTX 5080 performance was not nearly as large as the generational leap from the RTX 4090 to RTX 5090 graphics cards.
👁 clpeak benchmark with settings of OpenCL Test: Single-Precision Compute. RTX 5090 was the fastest.
👁 clpeak benchmark with settings of OpenCL Test: Double-Precision Compute. RTX 5090 was the fastest.
For those on a GeForce RTX 30 series graphics card or older, there is a rather nice jump in performance if planning to upgrade in the near future.
👁 Hashcat benchmark with settings of Benchmark: TrueCrypt RIPEMD160 + XTS. RTX 5090 was the fastest.
For some of the OpenCL Hashcat benchmarks there was no benefit over the RTX 4080 series when using this early Linux driver build.
