With the AlexNet model and using FP16, the RTX 2070 just surpassed the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti... Compared to the GTX 1070, the RTX 2070 was 75% faster.
The performance-per-Watt remained strong for this Turing $499+ graphics card.
When bumped to FP32, the AlexNet performance pulled behind the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti while still being a much stronger performer than the GTX 1070.
