OpenJDK 14 Has Some Performance Improvements But OpenJDK 8 Still Strong
Like playing ping pong, Renaissance's Scala Dotty benchmark provides another example where the performance has receded since OpenJDK. Fortunately though for this test OpenJDK 14 is slightly ahead of the recent releases.
In some of the other Renaissance benchmarks, OpenJDK 11~12 is the sore spot for performance while OpenJDK 14 was offering similar performance to OpenJDK 8.
