Out of 210 different tests carried out on both Pop!_OS releases, 22.04 was in front 61% of the time -- granted, in many of the benchmarks they were close finishes.

When taking the geometric mean of all 210 benchmarks, Pop!_OS 22.04 was faster overall by just 1.6%. However, this isn't too surprising especially considering the maturity of this Thelio Major workstation built around the already mature Threadripper 3990X and Radeon RX 5700 XT platform that has already seen nice evolution to its open-source Linux performance over the past two years.

Above is a look at the results with a measurable change in either direction. See all of the benchmark results in full for this Pop!_OS 21.10 vs. 22.04 comparison via this OpenBenchmarking.org result page.
