Final Benchmarks Of AMDVLK vs. RADV AMD Radeon Vulkan Drivers

For vkpeak to measure the peak Vulkan performance of different data types, RADV typically had a small to modest advantage over the AMDVLK driver. The only wins with AMDVLK were for int32.

With the VkResample image upscaling library using Vulkan, RADV was much faster than AMDVLK.

In some Vulkan ray-tracing benchmarks the current Mesa RADV driver still lags behind the final AMDVLK release. But in more software packages we are seeing RADV ray-tracing close the gap this year and being comparable or in some cases slightly faster than AMDVLK. Outside of Vulkan ray-tracing, the Mesa RADV driver performance on RDNA4 typically dominates over that last AMDVLK driver release.
