AMD Ryzen 3 2200G + Ryzen 5 2400G Linux CPU Performance, 21-Way Intel/AMD Comparison
It will be interesting to see how much the Raven Ridge APU performance evolves in forthcoming Linux kernel and GCC compiler updates.
The asmFish Assembly-written chess benchmark shows the Ryzen 3 2200G as still slower than Core i5 Haswell and Skylake CPUs but ahead of a Core i5 3470 Ivy Bridge. The Ryzen 5 2400G meanwhile was running with the Core i7 4770K in this benchmark.
The Ryzen 2200G needed 201 seconds to build a default configured Linux x86_64 kernel build while the Ryzen 5 2400G was able to do so in 153 seconds.
The Ryzen CPUs do a bit better with the C-Ray multi-threaded ray-tracer where even the Ryzen 7 1700 beats out the Core i7 8700K.
