Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9.0 Performing Well, Great Benefit To Newer Intel Xeon & AMD EPYC Servers

RHEL 9.0 isn't across the board faster, but for a vast majority of the benchmarks conducted -- especially the more demanding HPC benchmarks -- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9.0 delivers significant uplift over RHEL 8.6. Though this isn't really surprising at all considering the much newer GCC compiler shipped by RHEL9, the much newer Linux kernel that works better on modern x86_64 (and AArch64) hardware, etc.

Particularly for those that haven't made use of Application Streams for enabling a newer GCC compiler or other non-default version upgrades, RHEL9 represents very significant benefits while delivering rock hard stability expected of RHEL.
