Early Open-Source Linux Benchmarks Of The AMD Radeon RX 470

The Dota 2 numbers that will be real interesting are with the Vulkan renderer... The AMDGPU-PRO results to be published in the days ahead will have Dota 2 Vulkan figures.

With the demanding Metro Last Light Redux game on Linux, the Sapphire Nitro+ Radeon RX 470 card continued to trail right behind the Radeon RX 480 reference card. Need I provide another reminder that this Sapphire Nitro+ card is factory-overclocked so the actual RX 470 cards that don't receive this treatment will be slightly slower.

The performance-per-Watt difference between this RX 470 and the older R9 270X and R7 370 didn't end up being too jaw-dropping, at least with the open-source driver stack.

Those are all the results I have ready from testing the Sapphire Radeon RX 470 for the past day. Stay tuned for initial RX 460 Linux figures on Wednesday followed by more benchmark results, including Vulkan and OpenCL benchmarks under the AMDGPU-PRO driver stack.
