Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite Benchmarks On Ubuntu Linux vs. AMD vs. Intel
For those wondering how well the Qualcomm Adreno X1-85 integrated graphics performance is when using upstream MSM Linux DRM kernel driver and the Freedreno+TURNIP Mesa drivers, I ran a few benchmarks there of GPU workloads that are AArch64 native for comparison. Linux 6.14 and Mesa 25.0 provided working open-source Qualcomm Adreno X1-85 graphics once extracting the firmware from the Windows partition on the Snapdragon X Elite laptop.
For the popular VkMark Vulkan graphics benchmark, the native AArch64 performance of the Adreno graphics with the Snapdragon X Elite were comparable to the Intel Tigerlake graphics. VkMark is a bit of an odd case too in that the Xe2 Lunar Lake graphics performance is currently in a regressed position. But long story short for VkMark the Adreno graphics were well short of the AMD RDNA3 and RDNA3.5 integrated graphics.
For Vulkan compute tests natively on all platforms, the Intel Lunar Lake Xe2 graphics and AMD RDNA3/RDNA3.5 graphics were also much faster.
