While some of the creator workloads for CPU-based rendering performed fine with Threadripper 9000 series on DDR5-4800, with the AVX-512 heavy software like Open Image Denoise and Embree ray-tracing kernels they very much benefited from the faster R-DIMMs.

👁 Chaos Group V-RAY benchmark with settings of Mode: CPU. Threadripper 9980X was the fastest.

Other rendering workloads saw a much more muted difference.
