Quite quickly from this testing it was gratifying to see the performance continuing to move in the right direction.
With Ubuntu 21.10 there is the GCC 11 compiler that will also be used by Ubuntu 22.04 LTS. The kernel version also isn't too far off from what should be in Ubuntu 22.04 LTS, among other updated packages.
