3DMark Wild Life Extreme with Vulkan was rather consistently seeing the best performance on Plasma over GNOME 50, with the KWin X11 session seeing slightly better performance.

For the demanding GravityMark benchmarks, Plasma 6.6 with the Radeon RX 9070 XT was delivering slightly better performance than GNOME 50.

GNOME 50, of course, only has the Wayland session with the X11 support having been removed.

Batman: Arkham Knight running on Linux via Steam Play wasn't able to run with the Plasma X11 session but did work with the Plasma Wayland session. Though at 6K the Plasma 6.6 performance was slower than GNOME 50 but at 4K is where Plasma 6.6 was the fastest with the Radeon RDNA4 graphics used for benchmarking.
