Trying To Make Ubuntu 18.10 Run As Fast As Intel's Clear Linux

Since Clear Linux began packaging the Nouveau and Radeon Mesa drivers since earlier this year, it's been offering pretty fast performance in many graphics/game scenarios.

Clear Linux was winning 58~72% of the time depending upon the Ubuntu tweaks tested, but in some of the tests the performance difference can be quite small.

Recently I added Node.js benchmarks to OpenBenchmarking.org and Clear Linux does seem to be running really well there for those interested in server-side JavaScript.

Himeno was among the workloads where Ubuntu came out ahead.

Even with its compiler optimizations, it still is the fastest at kernel compilation and in other code compilation workloads.

Running the Clear Linux Docker container on Ubuntu was enough to help out in some of the real-world benchmarks.
