The performance was close between the three distributions at LAME MP3 encoding, but there was a slight lead in favor of gOS 3.1.
The results from our FFmpeg video encoding test were also close between the three distributions on the ThinkPad T400.
Linux Mint 6 was the fastest at GnuPG file encryption.
