Linux Mint 6 was the fastest again when it came to the OpenSSL performance, but all three distributions had incredibly close results.

The performance was also close with the sparse matrix multiply operation through SciMark 2.0.

Finally, in the latest test, which measured 12,500 database insertions using SQLite, the Hardy-based gOS 3.1 had a significant lead over Ubuntu and Linux Mint.

Since we only tested two Ubuntu-based distributions in this article and one of them was based upon an earlier version of Ubuntu, we will not be drawing any conclusions in this article or further insight, but we simply wanted to share these numbers per the request of a reader.
