VMware Fusion 6 Yields Great Benefits For Haswell Systems
Xonotic experienced "free" performance boosts too when upgrading to VMware Fusion 6. When it comes to 3D acceleration within virtual machines, VMware's solutions continue to be my preferred choice with their quality guest Gallium3D-based driver that's mainline in Mesa.
When running CPU-bound tests, there wasn't too much to see in upgrading from VMware Fusion 6. There weren't any real improvements found in the processor tests, but at least no regressions. The 3D performance improvements alone can make it very worthwhile in upgrading to VMware Fusion 6.
