The open-source HEVC/H.265 Kvazaar video encoder was finding the best performance with Clear Linux and noticeably faster than Ubuntu 22.10 even with Linux 6.0 and the performance governor.
Intel's SVT-AV1 open-source AV1 video encoder also performed the best on Clear Linux.
In some cases the wins with Clear Linux were small but consistent.
