I'll admit it; I have a soft spot for Raspberry Pi cases that look like a miniature gaming rig. Maybe it's how cool they look, and maybe it's just really cute to have a teeny-tiny case sitting on your PC like a gaming rig for mice. Either way, when I saw that Pironman was back in the Raspberry Pi case game, I knew I had to take a look.

Pironman has been a long time coming; the last time I checked up on them was almost a year ago after they released the Pironman 5. Well, the new Pironman 5-MAX proves that things are better late than never, as it's looking to be an excellent case for people who want something more for their Raspberry Pi.

Armed with dual 2.5G ports, SATA connections, and a PCIe slot, the ZimaBoard 2 makes for an affordable secondary home server

The Pironman 5-MAX is a cool-looking case for a Raspberry Pi 5

As spotted by Liliputing, the Pironman 5-MAX is a super stylish case that houses a Raspberry Pi. It contains a surprising number of features for an SBC case:

Featuring dual NVMe M.2 slots with RAID 0/1 support, AI accelerator compatibility (e.g. Hailo-8L), a PCIe Gen2 switch, PWM tower cooling + dual RGB fans, dual transparent panels with RGB lighting, and a smart OLED display with vibration wake-up. All ports are optimized for cleaner cable management, including dual full-size HDMI and USB-C power. Ideal for building high-performance NAS, AI edge computing devices, Home Assistant hubs, and more. (Raspberry Pi NOT Included)

Yes, you read that right; this little beauty comes with an OLED screen that lets you know what's happening inside the case. If you use your Raspberry Pi 5 for intense processing jobs, the two fans and the OLED screen monitor should do an amazing job at both keeping the processor cool and letting you know its current temperature.

In fact, it looks like the Pironman 5-MAX is specifically designed for people who want to push their Pis to the limit. You can use it to stick additional AI accelerator chips on it, and the company seems to put a lot of onus on using the Pi to process AI tasks.

You can pick up your own Pironman 5-MAX over at Sunfounder. It's currently on a discount at $71, but you can add additional features depending on your needs. You can grab a power supply, a Hailo-8L AI accelerator, up to two SSDs, and either a regular or an AI camera as extras. And yes, you can also buy a Raspberry Pi 5 as an add-on in case you need one.
