- Ronaldo reaching embarrassingly high levels of hero-ball and petulance tonight, even by his standards. There’s so much quality in this squad (and a nation with some of the best academies in the world) that I actually think he’s a complete hindrance by this point
- Fair argument that is one of England’s best displays ever under Southgate. A game won or lost on moments is something you can take. But going toe to to with the World Champions and dominating parts of that game is a serious marker of evolution
