Because Iβm the guy who started building more council homes than the rest of England combined, exceeded your affordable homes targets & built more homes of any kind than since the 1930s. - The scenes from Clapham Common are unacceptable. The police have a responsibility to enforce Covid laws but from images I've seen it's clear the response was at times neither appropriate nor proportionate. I'm contact with the Commissioner & urgently seeking an explanation.
- General election, now. Our city and country has never needed a Labour government more.
- Letβs be honest: Brexit isnβt working. British exporters are struggling, our living standards are falling and the UK is now the only G7 country with a smaller economy than before the pandemic. Unless we face up to the harm Brexit is causing we can't start to address it.
- UPDATE: The statue of slave trader Robert Milligan has now been removed from West India Quay. Itβs a sad truth that much of our wealth was derived from the slave trade - but this does not have to be celebrated in our public spaces. #BlackLivesMatter
