Asking for water meant that a woman would walk in the scorching afternoon sun for an hour.
Their house of 6 had half a bucket of water with twigs & dust in it, reserved for the children.
Farmers sobbing and hugging each other as they bid their final goodbyes and leave from the Tikri Border. Many are taking soil from the protest site in jars to their homes in Punjab and Haryana. @TheQuint

Even pregnant women are forced to walk for 5-8 hrs everyday to get drinking water in Tikuri Village in Bundelkhand.
The wells, borewells & hand-pumps have all run dry in the extreme heat.
