Summary


If a user does not complete a swipe to navigate gesture it is possible that we do not completely remove the swipe to navigate icon.


Steps to reproduce


Steps


    

  1. Optional: This is much easier to see in dark mode. For example, I use the dark default github theme
    2. 

  2. Navigate to https://bugzilla.mozilla.org, to get some history
    3. 

  3. Use the same tab to navigate to https://github.com
    4. 

  4. Swipe to the left like you were going to trigger a forward navigation
    5. 



Expected Results


No icon is displayed because no forward navigation can occur. Also the icon should not stick around.


Actual Results


An icon is displayed on the left and icon sticks around.
