Whistle

Un sifflet est un simple aérophone, un instrument qui produit du son à partir d'un flux d'air forcé. Il peut être actionné par la bouche, ou alimenté par la pression de l'air, la vapeur ou d'autres moyens. Les sifflets varient en taille d'un petit sifflet de glissière ou d'un flûte de nez à un grand organe d'église multi-canalisé. A whistle is a simple aerophone, an instrument which produces sound from a stream of forced air. It may be mouth-operated, or powered by air pressure, steam, or other means. Whistles vary in size from a small slide whistle or nose flute type to a large multi-piped church organ.
