Bhutan did not establish a Monarchy until 1907, so there could not have been a 'Royal Court' at this time.

Apparently the photo was taken in 1905, when the British were presenting the Durbar of Ugyen Wangchuck with the order of the Knight Commander of the Indian Empire, in return for help in securing the trade route from British India to Tibet Carpathia (talk) 20:19, 21 December 2024 (UTC)[]
