Firefox Quantum: Is it still a thing?

[edit]

Did Mozilla drop the Quantum project? Since when they no longer use the brand? What does the lack of "Quantum" means for the product in a practical sense? LinuxPower (talk) 10:24, 7 January 2026 (UTC)[]

New feature, showing nonsense

[edit]

I'm not sure when it started, as I had the new update running in the background, but since today, the empty tab has been displaying weather information. Today—January 13, 2026—the display is: New York, 22 degrees Celsius, which is definitely not correct. I don't want the weather information either, so I turned it off, which is fine. I'm just wondering what this is all about. Is it a feature of the latest update? ~2026-26672-2 (talk) 09:34, 13 January 2026 (UTC)[]

@~2026-26672-2 [1] would be a better place to ask that question, this isn't the place to ask general questions about Firefox (that being said [2] might be of your interest) Sohom (talk) 09:39, 13 January 2026 (UTC)[]

Moving the Logo section to history section?

[edit]

The logo section seems more like it belong under History rather than Trademark and logo. There should be a picture of the current logo under the Trademark and logo section, but shouldn't the history part be in the history section? It seems like a controversial move, so I want feedback before doing so. FeatherlessCat (talk) 17:22, 4 February 2026 (UTC)[]

  • I think the entire article has become very long and could probably use some overall restructuring. I understand what you are getting at with suggesting to move the logo history up under the "History" section, but I think it would make that entire History section so much longer. What might make more sense right now would be to separate out the "trademark" text into a section on "Trademark" and then have the logo history under "Logo" or something like that. Pull it apart that way first, and then consider whether the Logo section should be moved up by History. I still think I would keep it separate, though. - Dyork (talk) 22:54, 4 February 2026 (UTC)[]
Separating Trademark and Logo seems like a good idea. The logo could be in history, as it explains, and shows, logo changes. I will begin by separating them at least. But I suggest the history section be moved down from the more current active things in Firefox. I will hold on to the thought of moving the Logo section into history, and break down the article into more subheadings, to make a clearer structure.. Mascot?
