The Himachal Pradesh High Court has dismissed Abhishek Manu Singhvi's plea to skip witness testimony in his Rajya Sabha election petition. Justice Virender Singh ruled that witness examination is vital for a fair trial, setting the next hearing for April 20 to schedule evidence recording.
Pawan Khera is facing charges of forgery, cheating, criminal intimidation and conspiracy, based on a complaint filed by Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma’s wife Riniki Bhuyan Sharma.
Chief Justice Sheel Nagu declined the plea to quash an FIR registered by Haryana's Anti-Corruption Bureau and asked Abhishek Singhvi to continue his arguments.
