Improving the Legends namespace
The following discussion is closed. Please do not modify it.
I think there wasn't a ton to discuss in the first place – improvements are always welcome and a project can always created. Further discussion can happen on the project talk page. --

Hello editors,
I have recently started playing Minecraft Legends, and have noticed that the namespace is quite unfinished. I also notice there is a Minecraft Dungeons Wiki project, and I would like to suggest a similar project for the Legends namespace. Of course, a project needs something to do, so I am partially starting this discussion to find out exactly how we can best help improve the namespace in question.
First of all, I notice that the namespace is largely lacking in screenshots. If we were to simply add a few screenshots of each feature, I think it would be very good for the article quality.
I also notice that there aren't as many redirects in this namespace compared to others. Redirects are, of course, necessary for a Wiki to thrive. This would be part of the project, if one is to be started.
So, the two points I'd like to discuss is A) should we create a project for the Legends namespace and B) what tasks do we need to work on in said project.
I appreciate any comments being made here. -~- Nerdyguy2000 Talk Edits 03:29, 23 January 2025 (UTC)
- You can create a project if you’d like, it may be helpful for having a central discussion area for the Legends namespace. The namespace as a whole needs improvement so it’s hard to pin point specifics, because we’d be pin pointing everything. I don’t think you need specific tasks to create a project, but it could be helpful, and the ideas you’ve given are good. Information as a whole needs to be more deleted, everything is summarised very briefly last I checked. Though I haven’t looked at the namespace much since you began working on it. Thank you for working on the namespace. - Harristic / Talk 👁 Image

- I think it'd be in general nice to have discussion pages for specific namespaces. I also think there's an error in your comment: "information needs to be more deleted". But I understand what you're saying. Thanks for your response! -~- Nerdyguy2000 Talk Edits 23:17, 23 January 2025 (UTC)
- Just to clarify: do you think a project would be a good idea? -~- Nerdyguy2000 Talk Edits 23:28, 23 January 2025 (UTC)
- Yes I think it could be helpful. I'd join. I meant "information as a whole needs to be more detailed". - Harristic / Talk 👁 Image

- Thank you for your clarifications. I also think that perhaps discussion should continue on the talk page of the project page. (I know three editors isn't a lot, but there are only a few editors actually improvising the namespace.) -~- Nerdyguy2000 Talk Edits 14:25, 26 January 2025 (UTC)

- A few things I'd like to add: first, I think the "obtaining" section on structures is a bit strange and I think it should be "building" like with MCL: improvement hub. Second, I think the improvement pages should be located at "<name> improvement" because things like "improvement gather iron" just seems... not good. Third, I find that the improvement pages only cover basic improvements and not things like "Large gather iron". This should be fixed... Right? Should those be separate pages? -~- Nerdyguy2000 Talk Edits 03:37, 31 January 2025 (UTC)
- One other thing: should there be a specific style guide for the MCL namespace? -~- Nerdyguy2000 Talk Edits 18:06, 2 February 2025 (UTC)

- One thing that could be improved is changing the "obtaining" section of structures to "building". This would need specific guidelines to remain consistent. -~- Nerdyguy2000 Talk Edits 20:35, 2 February 2025 (UTC)
- Little late, but I made a navbox for Legends characters. Before now everything was missing a navbox or lumped into the entity one, hopefully this is a good step forward. I think a lot of the wiki stagnates when it follows that sort of mechanical view of documentation. Realshow19 (talk) 00:34, 5 February 2025 (UTC)
- "little late" Actually, you can't be late on a Wiki. But good work anyway! -~- Nerdyguy2000 Talk Edits 01:07, 5 February 2025 (UTC)
- I play mc legend every weekend. Can I also be part of this? 2401:4900:A50F:7DC3:0:0:25A4:F144 09:47, 7 March 2025 (UTC)
