Forum:Literature namespace

I think it would be great if all pages regarding minecraft's literary media (guides, novels, comics, the manga, etc.) be part of a new "Literature" namespace instead of being part of the "Minecraft" namespace that clearly is meant to focus on the main sandbox-survival experience we all know and love. This could also help with editors putting more effort into covering all of this media since i've noticed that there are a lot of pages missing, just my guess. JMVO2 (talk) 15:19, 22 March 2026 (UTC)

Is there any tangible proof that separating these pages into their own namespace would encourage more edits to them? If not, there is no reason for a literature namespace. The purpose of namespace is to prevent overlap between different pieces of media. A literature namespace does not solve overlap at all because there would be overlap within in, if you want to make a page about creepers in the manga (probably shouldn't) and a page about creepers in the novels (probably shouldn't), the literature namespace would have overlap with itself.

The mainspace is about vanilla but it is also intentional a general namespace, if we have a literature namespace, why don't we have an events namespace for Live, MC Experience, and the upcoming World park? Trying to separate each of these topics isn't going to help and you could never cover everything.
