Karshen was a character in the novel Minecraft: The End. He was one of Kan's secondary hubunits.
After Kan runs away to the End ship, Karshen intrudes and attempts to locate Kan in a fit of rage. At the meeting on the central End island, Karshen takes Kan's note block and throws it into the void, before berating Kan about his status as a human. In a battle against the Ender dragon, Karshen is killed by the dragon's breath.
It is implied that Karshen had a sour relationship with Kan, to the point where the latter seeks refuge in his friends' End ship. Karshen despised the fact that Kan is a human, berating and punishing him for this fact.
