Minecraft Legends was first announced in June 12, 2022,[1] and after that point it was in constant development. The official release of Minecraft Legends came on April 18, 2023. On January 10, 2024, the game's developers announced the final update and there would be no more future updates; but it is still available to download and play. The current version is 1.18.19068.
Unlike the full release of other Minecraft editions, the official full release of Minecraft Legends started at version 1.17, instead of the version 1.0. This is because 1.17 is the last update of the Bedrock Codebase within the game.[2]
