Minecraft Wiki talk:User rights

The article says you have to have a valid email and have the account registered for 4 days. I'm an autoconfirmed user, and I know because of my userpage and the fact that I am able to edit semi-protected articles. However, when making this account, I didn't provide an email, and I still don't have one tied to this account. Users#Autoconfirmed Users states that you only have to have the account for 3 days, and make 5 edits. What is going on here? ThatOneWolf (talk) 15:26, 24 October 2023 (UTC)

I believe that the 4 days + an email was fandoms policy, and the 3 day waitlist +5 edits is out policy. Can you. link the "article" thats states the old policy so we can fix it. -Consumed (Talk│Contributions) 15:32, 24 October 2023 (UTC)

So, this may be the same as above (a fandom thing, but not our thing), but under both patrol sections (autopatrol and patrol), the page says they can move pages without leaving a redirect. I've moved pages before, and I've been able to not leave redirects. The only user group I have is autoconfirmed. I don't have any special permissions or anything like that. I'm just posting here so I don't get confused, but this may be a fandom thing that we dropped and we haven't updated it yet. I checked Special:ListGroupRights and autoconfirmed users get the suppressredirect permission now. 👁 Image

Looks like on Fandom autoconfirmed users can suppress redirects but autopatrol/patroller also have the permissions, so it being limited to these groups may have been the case back on Gamepedia. I've updated the article accordingly. –Sonicwave ^talk 06:03, 21 November 2023 (UTC)
