Was his name always spelled Reuben, cus me and my friends very clearly remember it being Ruben. Has it been changed or was it different for different versions of English or did we just experience the mandella effect? 122.171.20.212 19:46, 5 October 2024 (UTC)
- Look at the cited sources. The lead writer for Story Mode spells it Reuben. Minecraft.net spells it Reuben. Why would we spell it any other way? ~Anachronist (talk) 16:39, 6 October 2024 (UTC)
- I think it could be spelled both ways. TeaDecEve (talk) 15:16, 20 October 2025 (UTC)
- I think so too, but we go by the sources, not what individual editors think. ~Anachronist (talk) 23:40, 20 October 2025 (UTC)
- Introduces speculation, so that will not be added. BDJP (t|c) 18:27, 4 October 2025 (UTC)

- I checked one of the sound files, i.e. I picked File:NV_Reuben_SadWhine_01.wav. From a quick analysis, the file must have worked in the past, but it no longer plays correctly, as shown by the "Status" row in the transcode status which displays a error dating to December 10, 2023. I'm guessing the file somehow got corrupted by the wiki software? RedX talk 00:40, 6 May 2026 (UTC)
- But also, those sound files in question were uploaded as .wav extensions. It would only make sense to reupload them as .ogg, because that's what the wiki uses for the "Sound" sections, being it the main namespace or the spin-off namespaces. RedX talk 00:45, 6 May 2026 (UTC)
- I don't think sound files should be reuploaded as ".ogg" just because they aren't ".ogg", they should be uploaded in their original file types or the type they were extracted as. ๐ Image
