Talk:Absorption

After testing every mob in the game, the only mob that is immune is maybe the Ender Dragon. The Wither, while not being able to obtain absorption using /effect, can obtain absorption hearts using /data modify entity @e[type=minecraft:wither,limit=1] AbsorptionAmount set value (Number), and they work as you'd normally expect. The Ender Dragon's AI removes AbsorptionAmount. When spawned with no AI however, there is AbsorptionAmount. The problem is that the Ender Dragon without AI also has no active hitbox, meaning that there is no way to test if absorption actually does anything to her.

In conclusion, and because Immune mobs is currently lacking, I'll put Wither yes, but no with /data, Ender Dragon maybe, unknown how to test. --Theghomaghity (talk) 05:53, 12 April 2020 (UTC)
