- I think generally speaking we wouldn't put something like this on the page, even the gallary itself unless the render was significant in some way or closely based on the actual texture (of which we don't know) TheCaptainYaya (talk) 10:05, 29 April 2026 (UTC)
- It was an official render of Mojang. 👁 Image

- Can you link where Mojang published it? We generally need sources for stuff like this to prevent accidental misinformation TheCaptainYaya (talk) 10:14, 29 April 2026 (UTC)
- The "full-color" version of the Barnacle (Mob A) seen in modern Minecraft materials was created by Mojang's internal art team, with prominent
- Art Director
- Markus "Junkboy" Toivonen being a key figure behind the game's official visual style and early concept art. [

- The colored illustrations you likely recognize come from specific official projects:
- Key Artists and Sources
- Markus "Junkboy" Toivonen: As Mojang's Art Director, Junkboy is responsible for the signature look of Minecraft's mobs and concept art. He created many of the original sketches and high-fidelity renders used in official anniversary materials.
- Edwin Evans-Thirlwell: While not the artist, he is the author of The World of Minecraft, the official history book where the most detailed "full-color" version of the Barnacle was recently published.
- Doug John Miller: An illustrator who contributed official signed art prints to special editions of Minecraft's historical books, which often feature colorized versions of "lost" mobs. [1, 2]

- @C H I: For future reference, AI is usually not a great source for things like this, as it is prone to hallucinating information (and we also have a policy against generative AI on the wiki).
- When I said a source for this, I meant a specific link from one of Mojang's official social media account, a Minecraft.net article, or a post by a Minecraft developer showing the image being used. TheCaptainYaya (talk) 11:20, 29 April 2026 (UTC)
