You can place {{Delete|Author Request}} at the very top of your userpage to request an admin to delete it. However, I would recommend blanking (replacing all the content with a blank line) your userpage instead, as fully deleting the page leaves a notice that it was deleted which may not look super nice. If you want to optionally disable categories with nocat on specific talk page archive headers for if they are used in isolation outside of the regular archival system, that is fine and you can re-add it. I only reverted the changes since I thought you were adding it for use as part of the system I was designing per our conversation on #wiki-technical.

However if you are talking about using nocat on Template:Archive withen the regular archival system itself, I'm not entirely sure how that would fit in, but that may be a misunderstanding on my part. You mentioned that I should use nocat in the cases where /Archive nav would be transcluded onto a page where it need not be categorised. If I'm understanding this correctly, I see a couple of issues with this:

1. /Archive nav uses Template:Archive box, not Template:Archive.
2. This would require putting {{/Archive nav|nocat=1}} at the top of every talk page that has archives, whereby convention people only put {{/Archive nav}}. This seems quite well established, so it would require going through and changing what I am assuming the majority of talkpages with archives on them. Since it's well established, I'm assuming a lot of people won't notice the change which will cause a lot of new talk pages to be categorically miscategorised as archives. From the users that do notice the change, I'd be slightly afraid of upsetting peolpe since I'm not sure many would very much like the syntax changing and making their workflow more tedious. The main goal of what I'm trying to make is to have no effect on anyone not trying to explicitly categorise anything.
3. It would still require the /Archive nav page to have nocat={{{nocat|}}} which would present the same issues as above.

But I may very well be misunderstanding something in my logic, or what you are suggesting. Please let me know if so, and I appreciate your willingness in helping me with this. The purpose of "nocat" is to disable the default behavior. In no template, this parameter is required to be called and is not recommended. Editor who uses this parameter is always aware of his actions and knows what he is doing and why. Most often, "nocat" is used for documentation needs, when you need to demonstrate the visual operation of the template. It is sometimes used in cases where making changes to the automatic categorization would otherwise require too many resources and unnecessarily complicate the work of the template. In this case, the standard mechanism is disabled and categories are set manually. This is useful when there are very few specific pages and their increase is not expected.

You can't do it yourself, only admins can. The template adds it to a list, which makes admins able to see that you want it to get deleted. Then they can delete it. 👁 Image

Hey TheCapitainYaya, I wanted to discuss a reverted edit on the page for mending, where i added the desert pyramid as a scource

As you can see, i got a mending book in-game from a pyramid and on the desert pyramid page here it doesn't mention mending being excluded from treasure enchantments in this case.

I just spent thirty minutes going through logs trying to figure out what happened, as that was not the intended effect of my revert at all! We sometimes get users where it is discovered that a lot of their edits are habitually incorrect. I was in the process of verifying the edits of that user (not you, someone else), and for some reason thought their edits to that page was the latest version that showed to everyone, so I automatically restored the page to a couple of edits prior, right before to when they started adding things to it. Usually this is fine, but because I didn't realise the page was an old version, I accidentally got rid of your edit (and have since restored it). I'm frankly a bit emberassed because I'm not sure how I made this error, but it may have been due to sleep deprivation. For some reason the navbox itself doesn't actually get included in the upcoming category, even though the documentation written on the upcoming template implies that it should if you are to use it on a template with <includeonly>nocat=1</includeonly>. Yeah, I realise now that it's Template:Upcoming itself and not me using nocat/includeonly wrong on Template:Navbox capes (which is why I was testing on that template, sorry). I get that you have good intentions, but in the future please let an admin deal with it instead of edit warring as the back and forth spam shows up in a lot of places off wiki, and is usually more disruptive than what is being done originally.

In case of vandalism, revert it first, since anyone can do so. If the vandal created a new page, tag it for speedy deletion. Always assume good faith and consider leaving a message on that user's talk page to explain the reason. Post here only if the user has made several disruptive edits and/or persists despite a warning. Hello, I was letting you know that you should not attempt to write comments that look like they're from other users (as you did here and in the immediately preceding edits) as that can be considered impersonation. I'm also noticing that some of your comments have been getting reverted, it's nothing personal but we in general have strict guidelines on talkpage usage, which essentially say that messages left on talk pages should usually be directly relevant to improving the wiki (as otherwise, the talkpages loose their use overtime making it harder for editors to communicate about wiki-related subjects).
