The article clearly states that Bedrock Edition has a different Bell than Java Edition. It literally says that,
"Unlike in Java Edition, the side texture of bells is made of stone rather than planks."
Doesn't this need a render too? I don't know how to put those boxes at the top to request one, so can someone else who knows how please do that? --AwesomeNinja886 (talk) ๐ Image

I just found out how to and added the More Images suggestion. Now we just need a render. --AwesomeNinja886 (talk) ๐ Image

I saw a YouTube Vid. claiming that Bells, Ring between /after rounds of Illager Raids. This should probably be checked out.
They're not currently Craftable (as of 1.13, 19w09a Snapshot before 1.14), but if they Do something (other than Ring when Rung, by Player /whatever else - Mobs hitting /shooting /exploding..? - Liquids such as Water?? Lava "warp-Ringing" it??? ["warping metal" causing noise emission?]), it might matter. Especially if it's something useful to at-least appreciate the (Changing) situation of the New Villages. Has the bell a hardness of 5 (like shown in the infobox) or a hardness of 1 (like shown in the table)? --79.219.104.243 14:54, 27 April 2019 (UTC)
From the "Trivia" section:
"In Java Edition, if a bell is used with a button, there is a chance for the bell to play the ringing sound in reverse."
I cannot reproduce this in-game, whoever wrote this might have just confused this for the sound that plays when the bell is rung near an illager. Can anyone else confirm?

Why are bells 36 emeralds to buy off villagers? I understand that they can't be crafted, but it anyone buying bells for that much? SquebbyNICO (talk) 16:50, 7 August 2024 (UTC)
I was curious about this for a project, but couldn't find anything online, so I did some analysing and found the following:
| Pitch
multiplier |
Frequency
played |
Pitch in game | Reference (A440) | Notes |
| 0.93 | 174.375 Hz | Fโ -2.37ยข (โญ) | Fโ=174.6141157 Hz | The pitches it can play in game |
| 0.95 | 178.125 Hz | Fโ +34.46ยข (โฏ) | Fโ=174.6141157 Hz | |
| 0.97 | 181.875 Hz | Fโฏโ -29.47ยข (โญ) | Fโฏโ=184.9972114 Hz | |
| 1 | 187.5 Hz | Fโฏโ +23.27ยข (โฏ) | Fโฏโ=184.9972114 Hz | The pitch of the block.bell.hit file |
I found the frequency using an app on my phone (I verified its accuracy by also playing known frequencies) listening to a repeating command block playing the file with a pitch modifier of 4, and 4.693333333 (880 Hz, Aโ ) I found this gave me the most stable results, with a fluctuation of ยฑ10ยข (small enough to usually not be noticeable to most people), and then doing the maths.
I also have a table with pitch modifiers for tuning the playsound command, but that might be a bit too in depth for here... JustenDouma (talk) 08:00, 3 June 2026 (UTC)
