I’ve been testing for quite a while, seems there isn’t a behavior of “eating” honey block for bees. They don’t particularly like to stay on honey blocks or interact with them. Very very occasionally they’ll rest on them, but I think that’s true for all blocks. So i think it’s safe to remove “eating from honey block” entry. Luotiansha (talk) 08:42, 11 October 2019 (UTC)
Wait, they DO eat from honey blocks. The precondition is to have beehives or beenests around. But I wonder are they really "eating" it or it is some other behavior? Luotiansha (talk) 09:08, 11 October 2019 (UTC)
Confirmed, when there are honey blocks around beehives or bee nests (better be nearby), bees will occasionally fly close to honey blocks and attach their faces to them for several seconds (seems like "eating", and according to my research, besides pollen--bees' primary food, honey is their secondary food during cold seansons). It's a relatively frequent behavior and easy to occur if you place several bee nests, a big group of bees, each bee nest has some honey blocks around it. (If there're flowers around, picking pollen will be their primary activity but they'll eat honey regardless is there any flower around or not.)
That bee is trying to get into its nest and failing due to a pathfinding bug which has since been fixed (I don't have the link on me at the moment). Bees do not have any interaction with honey blocks, and so I'm going to remove this information from this page, the bee page, and the honey block page. Tryashtar (talk) 18:35, 14 October 2025 (UTC)

Is this the first Snapshot (for 1.15), to show Bees / "Bee nests" on the Main Menu, Window? I mean, I know I might've just missed it before because there are a few New (1.14) Village Buildings, but..? (could this help inform on the 1.15 theme-evolving?). Thanks much, I was just starting to think I'd read about this before (possibly being a general to 1.15, planned change to Main Menu, Screen). But here's an even-more minor point which seems-New, to me (with Java Edition, specifically).
Vines now Grow from (starting possibly a few Blocks-long..? wasn't paying attention, Grew a Giant Jungle Tree, from the-usual, 4 Jungle Saplings 2X2) Giant, Jungle Trees' , outer-edge of "(topmost) Canopy," Leaf Blocks? Previously of course Jungle Trees were a great source of Vines - but on their Trunks - only.
Now they kind of look like Swamp - 's Oak - Trees. It looks good, of course (and like naturally-Generated, with World Generation, ones), but it's New - and more Vines - to me. Yilante 10 /12 /19. 2:43 p.m. 76.209.248.19221:43, 12 October 2019 (UTC)
