Why this version uses old version format?

Should be 26.1.2 ~2026-CrabVillagerDesert7742 (talk) 16:20, 1 April 2026 (UTC)

It's part of the April Fools joke. CrockCraftMC (talk) 16:25, 1 April 2026 (UTC)

Saved Hotbars is bugged. Since this version the hotbar uses 8 slots, every saved hotbar shifts 1 slot (C + #). And when is loaded (X + #) my game crashes. Idk If it was noticed or exists versions with different hotbar to add this detail in this article.

New blocks

Latest comment: 1 April1 comment1 person in discussion

Iron traps and copper traps (8 variations) have been added. Information is returning on this page. Discover it at the end of the debug mode grid (Debug mode/Grid/26w14a).

I don't want to spoil the update, and I don't yet know how these blocks work, I only know that they exist, that's why I'm not going to add that information to the page (today). Aloi4 (talk) 20:19, 1 April 2026 (UTC)

I'm not sure how this info is supposed to be formatted, but some mobs will attack living blocks. It appears to be the same group of mobs that will attack Iron Golems (Zombies, Pillagers, Skeletons, but not Spiders or Creepers). Also, living TNT turns into primed TNT apon death.

Fork of ?

Perhaps it is more accurate to say it is a fork of 26.1.1-rc-1? I have confirmed that the sole bug fixed by this prerelease is also fixed in 26w14a. Using rc-1 instead of the full release would at least resolve the "released on the same day" problem somebody noted in the verify tag, although it is likely this is not just one day of work. I think it is more likely that it was a fork of 26.1 (e.g. data pack version checks out so it's not an earlier one), which gives them more than a week, and they just also fixed the same bug for 26w14a (considering how small it was, as pointed out by a commentor on MC-307140 it is literally a single missing boolean inversion). So what do we put on the page? Cydonian Adder (talk) 17:37, 2 April 2026 (UTC)
