I don't think the name is up for much debate. (Someone added the "Name is Conjectural" tag to this page.) The mechanic is name-dropped in the splash text, and this exact mechanic is called this is by the communities of other games such as Doom and Quake. Zungryware (talk) 22:40, 30 June 2020 (UTC)

Melee mobs missing their target and hitting another mob?
[edit source]Latest comment: 5 May 20241 comment1 person in discussion
It says both here and on the โiron golemโ page that melee mobs such as the golem cannot accidentally hit a entity which they did not intend to. However I remember that, in a survival world of mine, an iron golem which intended to hit an enderman accidentally attacked me. Iโm not sure if this is a bug/removed feature because this happened in an older version but it doesnโt conform with what the wiki says so Iโm a bit confused. Breeze says "not against mobs from the trial chambers" but does not list itself. -- Simanelix (T|C) 15:27, 3 September 2025 (UTC)
- I donโt believe so, but I will test this to confirm. ๐ Image

- I doubt breezes are even capable of hitting each other, since their only attacks are projectile attacks and they are immune to projectiles. ๐ align=top

- Just tested, they are outright immune to damage from other breezes and don't seem to retaliate against any other mobs at all. Maybe this is different on Bedrock but it's harder to check there. ๐ align=top

- Have you tested with melee mobs not from trial chambers, like vindicators? ๐ Image
WillyBlue (talk | contribs) 00:02, 4 September 2025 (UTC)
- I tested several mobs by using /damage to attack the breezes with the other mobs as the source and the breeze never retaliated, though I never tried vindicators in particular. ๐ align=top

- I suppose not retaliating is just a unique characteristic of the breeze, in Java at least.๐ Image

- I tested on Bedrock. A Breeze retaliated to a Zoglin I set loose on it. DKRap064 (talk) 21:27, 28 September 2025 (UTC)
- Good. I'm glad you made some progress on this. -- Simanelix (T|C) 01:41, 4 September 2025 (UTC)
