Is this the actual group that founded this wiki and the forums or a very elaborate troll? --Gnu32 14:46, 7 February 2011 (UTC)

- Redstone Wire was the original company used to buy all the minecraft<randomthing>.net (minecraftforums.net, minecraftskins.net, minecraftwiki.net, minecraftseeds.net and there's probably more) addresses. Curse bought minecraftwiki.net and minecraftforum.net but I have no idea about the others. –ultradude25 (T|C) at 07:30, 30 May 2011 (UTC)
This page was inaccurate and poorly formatted so I've gone through and added any information that I deem relevant and citations. If you are here to edit this page it may make sense to contact me first as I can provide citations for any information and confirm/deny things. --Citricsquid 03:10, 21 February 2012 (UTC)
Shall we move this page to Meta Wiki?

Seems this page is not quite related to the local community, and Block & Quill Ltd also locates in Meta Wiki. Is it more appropriate to move it to Meta Wiki? TigerZhang (talk) 14:49, 7 February 2026 (UTC)
- I think it's related to the English wiki only. — BabylonAS 15:03, 7 February 2026 (UTC)
- However DE and NL founded in 2010 and was also hosted by Redstone Wire Limited, before the acquisition of this wiki by Curse, so it's related to multiple wikis, not only EN. Therefore, I'd suggest to move it to Meta Wiki as it is related to global affairs. TigerZhang (talk) 15:11, 7 February 2026 (UTC)
- At least the German wiki started out as independent before merging with the English wiki in October 2010 shortly before the Curse acquisition in November 2010. Redstone Wire Ltd has no real legal connection to Block and Quill Ltd which is the focus of the Meta wiki, so I'd say this article wouldn't fit in there. -- 👁 Image

- Redstone Wire Limited only existed for around 1 year, and the German wiki migrated soon after the founding of the company. I think it is related to other Minecraft Wikis as well, so I'd think we may move it to the Meta Wiki. TigerZhang (talk) 15:26, 7 February 2026 (UTC)
- May I translate this article on other MCWs? TigerZhang (talk) 06:53, 8 February 2026 (UTC)
- There should be no problem with creating an article about Redstone Wire Ltd in other language wikis, such articles already exists in the Portuguese and Ukrainian wikis for example -- 👁 Image
