Anyone interested in expanding this stub? User-100207953 (talk) 18:22, 7 April 2019 (UTC)
<Eggfur>: I have a conflict of interest issue, as I invented a self-sustaining, exploit-free bone meal farm for Bedrock Edition (only). It's based on flowers being bone mealable in Bedrock and produces a high profit. It seems pretty fundamental to the topic on this page. I'm also probably the "expert" on the topic - so what's the correct protocol to update the page to cover that? 88.97.11.88 20:49, 9 May 2020 (UTC)
Per MCPE-149516, Nylium-based Bone Meal farms seem not viable since the reproduction rate dropped. I'm wondering if it's really the case, and if so, we might need to remove that section from this page. (I personally don't have a BE instance, so unfortunately I can't test it.) 👁 Image

This article would benefit from being updated with a paragraph on using fish to farm bonemeal.
While irrelevant on Java, since recent developments during the year 2025, fish has become the most efficient way to produce bone meal on Bedrock Edition, with farms reaching between 40,000 and 50,000 bone meal items per hour in the default stimulation distance, with fairly simple setups that don't cause lag.
