Could someone please upload a piston/cobble generator tutorial?
I will!

If you can tell me how i can send you my world. ( along with the rest or the piston stuff i made in that world ) or i could upload it but i dont know where to

Cobble generator or wall generator? Cobble generator is here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5j9SJYToCCo&feature=channel_video_title

can't you use a button instead? Then it'll self reset right? Also you can put sand on top and a pressure plate. The plate retracts the piston, which retracts a stone block, which causes the sand/gravel to fall into the lava.
in the youtube vid the piston was used as switch for redstone.
It can also be used to change minecart tracks to redirct minecarts.
Also, it can be used as a retractable bridge across lava.
It can be used to make primed tnt fall from the sky ( piston pushes tnt into the path of redstone current, gets primed and falls )
The en masse wall thing was said, but not added.
Make a hidden staircase up a straight wall ( blocks pop out of the wall in a staircase formation )
Im who put the TNT hall, and i already made a test, and it appears to work, but I can't edit the page, there's no edit button.Could someone edit for me?
Pistons can be used to create non-burnout flip-flops that are very compact. First, place a piston facing sideways. Next, place a solid block next to the head. Then, if the block was 1 more meter over, you would put a redstone torch under it. Actually, you would do that anyway. But when you place it, pretend the solid block is 1 meter over.
Then place another piston in such a way that when you power it, the solid block will move back to the first piston. Stick redstone dust by the side, and it works!
Not a lot of new content, but I've taken most of the info from the embedded videos. I've changed the embedded videos to links (this is a wiki after all, not youtube). I've tried to expand a few sections where possible. Standardized the grammar. Various sorting/merging of ideas.
Areas that need work:

I hate to point this out, but all that effort needed to lock a chest seems pretty redundant if you recall anyone could just break the block over the chest or the chest itself with nothing more than bare hands. While it's still a nice gimmick, it's no security-system at all. To promote it as such seems just delusional to me. --Yatsufusa 16:52, 1 August 2011 (UTC)
I really like this but I've always had trouble pushing sand vertically. User:MicMac, could you write a more detailled description? This is a tutorial section after all.Qcdynamics 20:26, 6 August 2011 (UTC)
While I can appreciate gadgets that are nothing than bells and whistles, I'm unable to see the entertainment-value of this particular one. Would Freddie711 or anyone else who's able to appreciate that contraption be so kind and add a little more of an explanation? --Yatsufusa 05:02, 15 August 2011 (UTC)
After update 1.1, the fence and slab design seems broken. It doesn't work, because the fence gates now shut every time a piston moves them. Can some one confirm this as well?

I followed the video tutorial but I can't get it to work. As soon as I plant the seeds, the piston fires and removes the young wheat. Does this design still work in 1.2? 23:58, 6 March 2012 (UTC)
This page is a browser-stomper because of all the videos. The proper solutions are (1): convert them to a non-embedded format for the moment (I'm working on a template), and (2) replace most of the videos with MCEdit or similar schematics. --Mental Mouse 13:53, 1 September 2012 (UTC)
As of 9/4/2017, the page is still a beast to load (in Firefox 55.0.3); drove my system memory usage up by approximately 500 MB; and, a number of videos are straight-up unavailable or "unavailable in my country" (accessing from the US). Maybe make the page a link dump instead of show/hide content? 99.74.188.246 08:22, 4 September 2017 (UTC)
Looking through these, I suspect many will no longer work, especially the ones tested "as of Beta foo". Also, I've heard that 1.3.2 messed with piston timing.... Can folks who are better gadgeteers than me go in and not only test them, but mark them as "works under 1.3.2" and/or "works under 1.4"? The ones that don't work should probably be moved to an "obsolete" section or page, in case upcoming releases restore the conditions for them to work.
(In germany) Youtube always says not available for all that I tried (piston extensions at the end). Gvb123 (talk) 03:00, 4 January 2017 (UTC)
Sooooooo many of these builds are obsolete and from 2011, or are horrible compared to todays standards. This page has been neglected and about half the remaining stuff here need to be replaced with more modern tutorals. Unfortunately some nice builds that should go here such as a GOOD 3x3 flush lack tutorials. Alugia7 (talk) 13:11, 10 April 2021 (UTC)
The video for the sub-section Ceiling Double Extender has been taken down .. I suggest https://youtu.be/M1JBD0kGyok to replace it
I would make the change myself but I no longer have editing privileges. ΛΛΛΛ
The diagram for a 2x3 piston door is specific to Java edition, without stating that. 2x3 doors that work on Bedrock and Java arenβt hard to do, and the design provided is specifically made for space-efficiency, and has an activation point the average player might not find preferable, and requires nether access. I believe it should be replaced with a more simple design that uses redstone torches to keep the pistons open. Also, while the 3x3 piston door diagram is broken, it should either be replaced by a design that works on both editions, or be provided alongside a design for Bedrock edition.
