What Is the Exchange Rate for Selling of Foreign Currency in MTB Bank?
You can sell currency in Kyiv or any other city of Ukraine at the exchange rate set on the basis of several factors:
- The official exchange rate of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU). The Bank takes into account the official exchange rate set by the NBU, which is the benchmark for determining the exchange rate.
- Interbank foreign exchange market. Exchange rates on the interbank market affect intra-bank rates, as banks buy and sell currencies among themselves at these rates.
- Supply and demand for currency. Exchange rates may vary depending on the current supply and demand for foreign currency among the bank's customers.
- The bank's internal policy. Each bank sets its own exchange rate, which may include an additional margin to cover operating expenses.
- Fluctuations in global currency markets. Global economic and political developments may also affect exchange rates, which are reflected in the banks' internal exchange rates.
Thus, the sale of foreign currency is carried out at an exchange rate that may differ from bank to bank and depends on current economic conditions and internal bank rules. Exchange rates are always published in MTB Bank branches and are updated periodically.
