Michiko to Hatchin and Akame ga Kill! were announced at MomoCon to air on Adult Swim's Toonami block on June 20th and August 8th, respectively. π Image π Image Michiko to Hatchin first aired on October 16, 2008 and received a dub release by FUNimation on September 17, 2013. Synopsis After escaping from prison, the sexy criminal Michiko rescues an abused girl known as Hatchin. The two are about as opposite as they come, but their fates become intertwined through the connection of a man from both their pasts. JoseiQueen said: Haven't seen Akame Ga Kill. Should I watch it? From what I understand, it's a show about never having favorite characters. If you don't watch it now, I would assume there to be a lot of fuss over it in the preceding months full of rage and spoilers. That being said, I assume there was already a phase of that when it originally aired. Either marathon it now to be ahead of the game, or wait until it's dubbed to rage in English. Although, unless they were already dubbing it but never announced it, there's only two months between now and when it airs. I wonder how that's gonna work. Anyways, I'm glad to hear about Michiko to Hatchin getting attention. It has been around for years and its dub is quite something. I hope it's well-received.
Michiko to Hatchin is worth the watch but Akame not so much. Hatchin was created by the same producers (ShinichirΕ Watanabe) of Cowboy Bebop iirc so their art style is some what similar.
Well Akame ga Kill is a perfect little package made for western audience so it's no surprise that it will air on Toonami.
Disappointed in Mitchiko and Hatchin. Was hoping they'd get Psycho Pass or Blood Blockade Battlefront instead. I feel like it'll get lackluster ratings. I think I'm more excited about Toonami and Sentai are working together rather than the announcement of Akame Ga Kill itself. Akame is a good choice because it fits well. I just hated the last 5 episodes.
THIS IS THE BEST DAY OF MY LIFE π Image
Good news Michiko to Hatchin is the best I really love it everytime hana must try to deal with unmatured behavior of michiko Akame ga kill is suck The whole story is mess
If Sentai dubs Akame ga Kill I will suffocate them with my weiner

Please learn about cel animation and its technical process. Learn how special effects and backlighting were done without computers. |
AgK was a good series, until the last episodes [SPOILER]FUCKING ROBOT
Michiko to Hatchin is such a damn good series and is done by the protogee of shinichiro wattanabe(bebop, samurai champloo, dandy) and its a really worthy successor that stands up on its own two feet. Its actually possible it could appeal to people who dont even like watannabe's stuff too. Also the dub is top notch

Sad taste you have there kid you came up to me in the first place making you look more like a kid who got slapped without me even knowing it and start crying about it to me |
Its cool they got Akame Ga Kill! Its great, and seems like a great addition. Wonder if a dub will come out.
Damn shame that i don't have Adult swim where i live.
They're putting Akame ga Kill on Toonami, and it's licensed by Sentai.... That gives me hope that we'll soon be seeing Angel Beats on Toonami!
Michiko to Hatchin is like a South American Cowboy Bebop. Awesome show.
Akame ga Kill... God help us all.

added the fourth most popular anime onto this site
meh, dropped akame ga kill cuz characters were crazy, but if it's getting a dub on toonami, it can be given a second chance
Ever since Bleach ended Toonami has been MEH, DBZ made it a bit better thou :)
Akame ga Kill is garbage, but it's definitely the type of show edgy western teens would enjoy, so I get why it's airing. Michiko and Hatchin is pretty decent, and I'm surprised that they're airing it. It isn't particularly popular.
HidamariSeashore said: With that dub? I don't think so.They're putting Akame ga Kill on Toonami, and it's licensed by Sentai.... That gives me hope that we'll soon be seeing Angel Beats on Toonami! |

OMG I'm literally screaming two of my favorite anime's being dubbed YASSS I hope Chelsea & Michiko get great voice actresses :D HYPEEE! Can't wait!
I personaly find "Michiko to Hatchin" to be better than "Samurai Champloo" , yet it's certainly not even close to be as popular . So if it means that more people will discover it and watch it , it's a damn good news .
CliqProfil4Nudes said: Michiko to Hatchin is worth the watch but Akame not so much. About sums it up. Nice to see it will get some publicity, it's a fun show. |

EvenJellyOn said: I Agree. Angel Beats can't fit on a action block, heck I've heard some people saying they Want K-ON on the lineup, and I said really? I don't think a girly show should fit on a action block. It's better if Disney gets K-ON. Now Persona 4 or Log Horizon, those are good fits on toonami.darkyandererdomo said: Waaaaah I Wish Australia Had more anime the only anime that ever aired/airing the I Know is Vampire knight sword art online death note attack on Titan Naruto one piece Pokemon fruit basket Oran high school host club modoka magica Cheez/Toasted had some more then you didn't list.
