Beware the MALoween✟Mansion... The dreadful place where residents trick you and make you dance for treats. It only appears once a year... inviting, taunting brave souls with its evil allure. Enter at your own risk! Once in, you cannot escape without collecting enough candy... 👁 Image There are only a few days until Halloween and MAL is holding another community event to get you all in the spirit! The goal of the event is simple: Collect as much candy as you can! MALoween✟Mansion has a number of main rooms which belong to different mansion residents. These inhabitants will give you one piece of their favourite candy – in exchange for a trick. You must collect unique candy pieces to safely escape the mansion with your candy hoard and complete MALoween. However, there's no time for sleeping! Various main rooms will be opened and locked each day. The minimum length a main room will remain unlocked for is 48 hours, so be sure to take a look around the mansion at least once a day! For our challenge-seeking daredevils, it doesn't end there. Some resident rooms will contain bonus candy. Secret rooms will also appear periodically throughout the mansion, giving users a chance to compete for bonus candy to add to their stash. These bonus candy pieces cannot be used as main candy. Beware: secret rooms are open for very short times and some only give out a single piece of candy to the first correct winner. We suggest you relax in one of our discussion rooms and check the club forum regularly if you'd like more candy! On Nov 1st, the mansion will return to its hiding place for another year. We will then list who made it out of the mansion alive – and how much candy they managed to collect on their way out. We'll also include the poor souls still trapped inside! Event Timeline Now – Sunday, Nov 1st, 23:59 PST You will want to participate during these dates! If you have any questions about the general workings of the event (not specific rooms), please post in this thread. | Good to know there's time for this but not doing anything about review sorting options that were promised, or editing the new site design in response to criticism. Sorry, not trying to be dick but hunting for virtual candy pieces should not be a priority right now. Jesus wept... Halloween is bad enough when you have kids in real life knocking your door! |

Many candies have been given and a few brave souls managed to escape before the mansion slipped into the fog... ...we have finally reached the conclusion! , A BIG THANK YOU to all of our MALoween✟Mansion challengers! In the end, 114 users joined the mansion, but only 45 attempted to brave the evil that laid within... The success of these events are always possible thanks to each and every one of you. , please take the time to give A BIG THANK YOU to Snowical, who did most of the organising and planning of the event while I was away. Please also thank Maffy for all of her help with the bonus events, MaiTai for organising a Mafia event, and all of the mods who took the time to create and run their own rooms: adamantine, Ana, ChessKitty, Congress, Katsura, Naruleach, Sakana-san, sarroush, Touka, tremeg and verdantly. Without all of their creativity and hard work, this event would not have happened. Without further ado, here is the final CANDY TALLY! 👁 Image ✞ Only 10 users managed to collect enough candy to leave the mansion. ✝ The remaining 35 users will be trapped at the mercy of the mansion residents for the next year~ ✟ Of these 10 escapees, only 1 users managed to get candy from all main rooms! | It was a lot of fun :3 I just wanted to get enough candy to get out of the mansion, but I ended up playing more games than necessary cause the event was just too great >.< Congratz to all who made it out! And to everyone else... here's some candy. At least you tried. Thank you to all MAL staff for organizing this event! |

| Big thanks to the organisers of the event. MarkNolo said: Lol but didn't you folks had more rooms & candies to collect? >u> Last year, there were 5 secret rooms opened once a day for a limited time. Each one gave a bonus candy for each solution to the riddle of the day. I found it extremely fun and addictive. It seemed that more than 20 bonus candies were available in these secret rooms but you had to be awake and connected on MAL all the time if you wanted to get all of them. ^^ |
