DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- awesome ep! even the art style is improving i wont comment too much here because ive watched the 7th aswell so it'll be a bit hard to stay away from spoilers. on the end of 6th ep i just wanted to see who is hiding behind the mask ;S |
| Ack I missed that ep 7 was out, I'll have to watch it after I get home from work. I'm kind of sad though, we are half way though the series now and I'm just loving it. I don't think I want it to end. |

| Lol, I bet the Medicine Seller finagled his way to be in the same cell as Ochou, the woman-murderer. | I think the cell was more of a metaphorical thing. He states several times that "If you believe this place holds you, it is a prison." and that "If you do not wish to leave, it will become a fortress." which makes me believe they are are still at her home. |

I know. :) But my earlier impression is that she was imprisoned or something (which is correct in a sense). Still, the Medicine Seller tapped into another's state of mind, 'finagling' his way through it, although we didn't see it. ^_^ Lol, for someone espousing truth, the Medicine Seller sure has quick wit to utter falsehoods. ^^ |

| In the begining of this epi, I was foolish enough to belive that this one lacked substaince compared to the last arc. However, I sit here in shock, eager for the next. Dam these are excellent! |

| Good start to the arc, but not as strong as the previous two, imo. Regardless, I'm loving this series immensely, with it's use of symbolism and unique artwork. |

| So, this monoke defeats his opponents by making them losing their face, quite literally even. Next episode he finally seems to show his true face. |

| I definitely enjoyed this episode - especially the little fights between the Medicine Seller and the Man in the Fox Mask using their sword and pipe respectively. Also, for anyone here who has also seen Ayakashi: Japanese Classic Horror, the voice actors for Ochou and the Man in the Fox Mask are the same as the two main characters in the second arc - the one concerning the "Forgotten Gods". Their relationship, one that is between human and nonhuman, is a parallel to the one they had in Ayakashi; but, this time around, the man is the nonhuman entity and the woman is a human. I love that this anime includes little interesting details like that. |

| Foxy is quite the smoker~ Being able to incapacitate the Medicine Seller for a moment using only a smoke pipe. What I don't really get is why he keeps changing faces. Maybe it's a symbolism of trying to be someone you're not, adjusting for everyone and losing the real you in the process. That cliffhanger tho lol Just when the mask came off kek |

| The hunt to know who the spirit really was an what are the motifs behind his actions. I really liked this episode; all of them have been mesmerizing, but the art and colors on this one were particularly stunning. I do indeed think the cell was completely metaphorical, a play by the Mononoke that wanted to keep her there and then play as her savior, maybe? Interesting enough, that's for sure. So far, i think this is one of the best anime i've ever seen, i'm beyond words when it comes to the art and the animation. |

| This was probably the weakest out of the last episodes, but like the first episode of the previous arc, it's so much all over the place that I think I might only get a clearance after watching what comes next, hopefully it justifies everything just the right way to make this arc as good as the others. |
| It keeps getting better and better. Now we have a Mononoke who is in love with a human. Had her kill off her husband and his family so that they could be together. |

One of my favorites I've ever heard in an anime. It encapsulates part of what the story arc was about so well and is such a great idea in general |

| I can't keep watching this, it's too scary for me. It's a fantastic show with a gorgeous artstyle but I SUCK at handling horror. If you do however, at ALL stomach it? Watch this. It's beautiful, the visual storytelling is amazing, the sounddesign is amazing and the voice performances are some of the best of the given actors. If I was a horror fan this'd be a complete watch and probably a 9 or 10/10 |
