Steam Controller not working with Sekiro Shadows Die Twice and Final Fantasy 14.
My Steam Controller 2026 is not working with both Sekiro Shadows Die Twice and Final Fantasy 14.
For both games, I ensure the controller is is connected to my system and recognised, launch either game, and once I get in game, none of the controller functions are working. Instead, the only way for either game to get any input from the controller is to hold down the Steam button, and use the right trtackpad and the left and right triggers. This allows me to use the mouse functions of the controller.
Here is what I have tried to fix it so far.
- I tried using different launch options
- `gamescope gamemoderun SteamDeck=1 %command%`
- `gamescope gamemoderun %command%`
- I have tried enabling/disabling Stem Input
- I have tried different Proton versions
- I have tried switching to the Steam Beta Client and updated the controllers firmware once the beta client was running.
None of these 4 attempts fixed the issue.
