Fill out forms automatically in Chrome
Add, edit, or delete payment & address info you saved in Chrome
- On your Android device, open Chrome ๐ Chrome
. - To the right of the address bar, tap More ๐ More
๐ and then
Settings. - Tap Addresses and more or Payment methods.
- Add, edit, or delete info:
- Add:
- At the bottom, tap Add address or Add card.
- When you've entered your info, at the bottom, tap Done.
- Edit:
- Tap the entry.
- When you're done changing your info, at the bottom, tap Done.
- Delete:
- Tap the entry.
- At the top, tap Delete ๐ Delete
.
- Add:
If you add, edit, or delete an address and youโre signed in to Chrome with your Google Account, your changes are saved. These changes also show up on your other devices where youโre signed in to Chrome with the same account.
If your payment method is saved in Google Pay, you'll need to edit or delete it in Google Pay.
Manage autofill payment info
Manage autofill for one-time SMS verification codes
When Chrome identifies a website form with a one-time SMS verification code field for the first time, it requests permission to autofill SMS codes.
If you've given Chrome permission to access and autofill SMS codes:
- A prompt will be displayed. To fill the code, tap the prompt.
- The SMS code field is automatically filled in.
If SMS code autofill doesnโt work or if you previously denied Chrome access, you can review and manage your autofill settings.
- On your Android device, open the Settings app.
- At the top, tap your Google Account.
- Under โGoogle services,โ tap All services.
- Under โAutofill & passwords,โ tap Verification codes by SMS.
- In โVerification codes by SMS,โ to autofill SMS codes, turn on:
- Autofill codes in apps and sites
- Autofill codes in your default browser
Use your fingerprint or face to fill out forms
- On your Android device, open Chrome ๐ Chrome
. - To the right of the address bar, tap More ๐ More
๐ and then
Settings ๐ and then
Payment methods. - Turn Screen lock on or off.
Autofill your home, work, and email addresses from your Google Account
Important:
- Make sure youโre signed in to Chrome with the Google Account where your home and work addresses are saved.
- Confirm that your Google Account is filled out with complete home and work addresses. You can find and manage this in your Google Account settings.
You can directly fill your home and work addresses from your Google Account into online forms. With an address saved in Google Maps, you can complete forms faster.
To use this feature, tap on a home and work address field in an online form. Then autofill shows a suggestion from your Google Account.
Your Google Account provides the home and work addresses that Chrome autofill suggests. You can find and manage it in your Google Account settings.
- On your Android device, open Chrome ๐ Chrome
. - At the top right, tap More ๐ More
๐ and then
Settings ๐ and then
Addresses and more. - You can:
- Save and fill addresses: Turn Save and fill addresses on or off.
- Add an address: Tap Add address.
- Update an address:
- Select the address you want to update.
- Enter the updated info.
- At the bottom right, tap Done.
- Remove an address:
- Select the address you want to remove.
- At the top right, tap Delete ๐ Image
. - On the pop-up, tap Remove.
To automatically fill out forms, Chrome uses your name and email from your Google Account.
When you first use this feature, Chrome shows a message that informs you how it works and how to manage your data in Chrome settings.
To use this feature, make sure:
- Youโre signed in to Chrome.
- The โSave and fill addresses" is on.
- On your Android device, open Chrome ๐ Chrome
. - At the top right, tap More ๐ More
๐ and then
Settings ๐ and then
Autofill and passwords. - Tap Addresses and more.
- Turn Save and fill addresses on or off.
- On your Android device, open Chrome ๐ Chrome
To manage your name and email:
- Go to myaccount.google.com.
- Tap Personal info ๐ and then
Name & pronunciation or Email ๐ and then
Save.
Tip: Any changes made to your information will be automatically updated across Chromeโs autofill settings.
If you have issues with Chrome not suggesting your saved info
- In Chrome settings, make sure you turn on the โSave and fill addressesโ feature.
- To confirm the name and email shared from your Google Account for autofill, go to myaccount.google.com/personal-info.
- To confirm that youโve saved the info that doesnโt auto populate: Tap More ๐ More

Settings. - The website might not be secure enough to get this info from Chrome.
- If the website is secure, Chrome might not detect certain fields in the form.
Delete your saved autofill form info in Chrome
To delete your addresses, payment methods, or other saved info in Chrome at the same time:
- On your Android device, open Chrome ๐ Chrome
. - At the top right, tap More ๐ More
๐ and then
Settings. - Tap Privacy and security ๐ and then
Delete browsing data. - Choose a time range, like "Last hour" or "All time."
- Under "Advanced," choose Autofill form data.
- Tap Delete data.
This method doesn't delete payment info and addresses stored in Google Pay. Learn how to remove a payment method from Google Pay.
Choose your autofill provider
You can choose between Google or another autofill provider to save and fill in forms automatically in Chrome on Android devices.
Important:
- If you use another autofill service in Chrome, all autofill data will be sourced from a third-party password manager instead of Google. To use another autofill service, you must first add the service in Android settings.
- If you turn off autofill in Chrome, you canโt autofill or save across devices for:
- Payments
- Addresses
- Passwords and passkeys saved in Google Password Manager
To choose your preferred autofill service:
- On your Android device, open Chrome ๐ Chrome
. - At the top right, tap More ๐ More
๐ and then
Settings. - Tap Autofill services.
- To use Google Password Manager and Chrome Autofill, select Autofill with Google.
- To use another autofill service in Chrome, select Autofill using another service.
- To confirm the setting change, tap Restart Chrome.
- This restarts your Chrome window.
- To cancel the change, tap Cancel.
