Use your promotional codes

Google and its partners sometimes distribute promotional codes for Google Ads. These special offers can be used to redeem credit that gets applied to your Google Ads account. This article explains how to redeem your offer and track its status.

  • You'll need to enter a payment method.
  • If you want to use monthly invoicing, ensure to set up that setting before entering your code. Otherwise, your offer will be invalidated and the amount lost when you switch to invoicing.

  1. Go to Promotions within the Billing menu 👁 Billing Icon

  2. Select the blue plus button 👁 Image
    .
  3. Enter your promotional code.
  4. Select Update.

Visit the Promotions page

Note: Manager account users can’t enter a promotional code from the manager level through the Promotions page. Manager accounts must visit the billing page of the account they want to apply a promotion to and follow steps above.

To check how close you are to earning your credit, visit the Promotions page in your account. It's updated every few hours. You'll be able to quickly check your progress and the status of any credit, and check your completed or expired promotions. Here's how to get there:

  1. Go to Promotions within the Billing menu 👁 Billing Icon

  2. On the "Promotions" page, you'll find all promotional codes associated with your current, active billing setup, and the related amounts and statuses, including the following:
    • Active: Reward associated with coupon has been granted.
    • Redeemed: currently earning: Coupon was successfully redeemed, but the spend requirement (such as “Spend $25 USD, get $50 USD”) hasn't been met yet.
    • Processing: Spend requirements (such as “Spend $25 USD, get $50 USD”) have been met and our system is processing the granted reward amount.
    • Expired: Coupon expired after redemption and before spend requirement was met.
    • Invalidated: Coupon was invalid/invalidated.

Note: In case of a Billing transfer (for example, a change in account ownership), any active promotional credits will not be transferred or refunded. Your promotional credits will expire and will not be available for future use after the transfer is complete. You can continue to use them in the meantime.

You can view promotions associated with any past billing setup by selecting the past billing setup from the Billing transfers page and then navigating to the "Promotions" page.
